Animal Shelter
On April 7, 2008, the Town of Cornelius approved a plan to construct a 4,258 square foot animal shelter at the end of Meridian Street. Status as of 6/6/08: Elevations have been reviewed by the Architectural Review Board. The next phase will be review of construction documents which is expected to take 2-3 months.

Antiquity
Status: Town Board approved on January 22, 2008 The applicant requested a Town Center Parallel Conditional Use District Rezoning and Major Subdivision to change the commercial area that was shown in the regulating plan that was part of the original conditional use zoning process. The Antiquity Conditional District was approved in 2001 and amended in 2002.

Status: Town Board approved on May 5, 2008 The applicant will construct a 7,710 square foot carwash and car service (oil and lube) center along Statesville Road (Highway 21). 6,210 square feet will be used for carwash and car service (oil and lube) uses while 1,500 square feet will be used for sales/reception areas. The site proposes a three bay wash area, detail area, sales/reception area and vehicle service area.

On 5/14/07 the Town of Cornelius approved the request from Walgreens to modify the parking configuration on the previously approved Conditional Use Permit allowing a drive-through facility.
